- Educational and Networking Opportunities --
MEDC holds its Spring Conference/Annual Meeting in
May; Fall Conference in October and Winter Conference
in February. Marketing, legislative and other
committee meetings occur throughout the year.
- Recognition -- MEDC presents Marketing
Awards at the Fall Conference as a means to recognize
outstanding marketing and promotion efforts by MEDC
members. Other awards such as the President's Award,
Professional Economic Developer of the Year Award and
Volunteer of the Year Award are presented at the
Spring Conference and recognize the substantial
contributions made in the field of economic
development.
- Communication -- Periodic electronic
newsletters, general mailings, and an internet
presence keep members informed of the organization's
resources, activities and actions. In addition, a
membership directory is published annually which
identifies your interest and participation in
industrial and economic development in Missouri.
- Networking -- Strategic alliances are
formed with other statewide development organizations
for the purpose of leverage of resources, increasing
membership and expanding MEDC's area of influence.
- Mentoring -- A veteran group of economic
developers known as the MEDC Counselors is available
for mentorship on issues facing economic developers.
- Marketing Opportunities -- Participate in
tradeshow opportunities, impact trips and other
opportunities to promote and market Missouri as a
business location.
