 The Jackson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors seeks an energetic self- starter with proven business experience to increase and maintain membership and promote economic development initiatives in Jackson and the surrounding area.  This position will act as a liaison between the community and businesses and develop effective partnerships that will promote the community.  The ideal candidate must be a team player with effective, persuasive, written and oral communication skills.  The Executive Director must be able to work effectively with various parties, such as the media, elected officials, businesses and, the community.  This position will recruit membership, industrial, retail and residential development through marketing efforts, client visits and follow-up.  Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or related job experience.  A person with chamber experience, management and/or economic development experience is preferred.  For more information visit our website at www.jacksonmo.com.  Compensation is based on qualifications and experience.  Please submit your resume by March 1, 2005 to: Executive Director Search, P.O.
