Economic Development Director

The Taney County Industrial Development Authority is seeking an economic development professional to lead a not-for-profit countywide economic development program. The Director, working with the six member Board of Directors, will be responsible for designing a new program to insure the achievement of this organizations’ immediate and long range goals for future growth in business and industry and community and workforce development.

This position offers the Director an opportunity to build a new program of retention, expansion and recruitment of business and industry while building an effective relationship with boards, County Commission, various city councils, mayors and business leaders.  Candidates should have completed a BEDC and have three years experience in community and economic development. Other degrees, certifications, or participation in a SIFE program desirable. Computer, verbal and written communication skills required.
