Economic Development Coordinator

Leavenworth Area Development Corporation is seeking a highly motivated person to fill the position of Economic Development Coordinator.  This position is responsible for the growth and development of the organizations existing industry retention program, developing financial packages for the recruitment of new business to the community, working with partnering organizations on the development of new business facilities and parks, assisting in the coordination of a new business recruitment strategy, and assisting in the implementation of an aggressive marketing program.  Candidates must possess strong marketing skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and easily/effectively communicate and interact with businesses, boards, elected officials and community leaders.  Basic knowledge of economic development incentive programs, financial packaging and familiarity with the site selection process or real estate is beneficial.  Experience in economic development or related field will gain additional consideration.  Degree in related field may substitute for some experience.  Salary and benefits dependent upon qualifications.  Please send resume, cover letter and salary history to Mr. Lynn McClure, Leavenworth Area Development Corporation, 1294 Eisenhower Rd., Leavenworth, Kansas  66048 or lynnm@lvarea.com.  Position will remain open until filled.
