The St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce is
currently accepting resumes for the position of Vice President
of Regional Development. This is a newly created position that
will serve a 19-county area of Northwest Missouri and will work
as part of the economic development division of the Chamber of
Commerce.
The position will be responsible for new business development
and attraction, development of a region-wide business retention
program, external marketing of region, and coordination with
local economic development professionals and partner agencies in
the region.
Candidates must display skills in marketing, ability to
manage multiple tasks, and easily interact with businesses,
elected officials, community members, and partners in the
region. Qualifications include at least 5 years of economic
development experience, EDI training, experience with rural
development issues, knowledge of economic development finance,
incentive, and workforce programs and the ability to use
computer technology and Microsoft Office programs.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include

position will require extensive travel within the designated
region and in marketing all over the United States.
