President/CEO – Rolla Regional Economic Commission (RREC)
A Missouri Nonprofit Corporation
The RREC is seeking an energetic leader to
guide and manage creation and implementation of economic
development efforts in the Phelps County/Rolla Missouri region.
The RREC President/CEO reports to a twelve member Board of
Directors, and interacts with key business, government, and
institutional leaders, as well as economic and community
developers throughout the region.
Strategically located on the edge of the
Ozarks region at the intersection of US 63 and I-44, the Phelps
County/Rolla region is home to a leading technological school, the
University of Missouri – Rolla and near one of the nation’s
fastest growing military bases, Fort Leonard Wood. The population
of Phelps County is approximately 40,000, with the City of Rolla
(population 16,327) as the county seat.
Position requirements: Bachelors degree in
relevant field of study. MBA and/or CEcD certification
preferred. Preference is for at least six years of management and
economic development experience. Candidates must possess a
comprehensive knowledge of marketing, business development, and
sales. Previous experience in solicitation of program funding
from municipal and corporate sources and building and maintaining
public/private partnerships in economic development is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the
creation and retention of primary jobs and have outstanding
communication and organizational management skills.
Salary is dependent on qualifications.
