Economic Development Planner 

The Regional Council of Governments is seeking an Economic Development Planner. This person will oversee strategies to enhance the economic development and revitalization of the region as well as develop grant applications and provide guidance to local officials for infrastructure needs. Responsibilities also include preparation of economic development analyses and assisting various boards and commissions. The Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments, population 42,000, is a set of five counties in the far northwest corner of the state.

Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in planning, economics, business or related field. Master's degree preferred. Prefer professional economic development experience. Certification for American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) preferred.
