ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

The City of Sikeston, MO (population 16,000) located mid-way between St. Louis, MO and Memphis, TN is seeking a qualified individual to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct municipal economic development activities.  These activities include the marketing of Sikeston's 400-acre Business, Education and Technology Park that features a fiber optic loop, convenient access to Interstates 55 and 57, and electric, water, and waste water treatment facilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in business, economic development, planning or related field.
* Five years experience in economic development or marketing, or any equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience that provides the knowledge and abilities to perform the work.
* Valid state driver's license.
* Successful applicant must reside in Sikeston within one year of employment.
